Our last seminar covered new elements of the accountability regime that come into force on a staged basis from March 2017 onwards.

The first part of the workshop looked at:

 - Preparing for self-certification
 - Implementing the senior managers regime
 - Rules on reporting misconduct
 - Regulatory references
 - Whistleblowing
 

The second part of the workshop was a case-study session that gave the opportunity to discuss practical issues that arise when investigating employee misconduct in an FCA regulated business, for example:

 - Dealing with whistleblowing during the investigation
 - Suspension
 - Using and maintaining legal privilege
 - Impact on remuneration
 - Giving regulatory references in various disciplinary contexts
